I thought I loved you then..

Tyler and I went to Park City to celebrate our anniversary. It was a much needed weekend getaway. On our way out I decided to give Tyler his present and boy did I surprise him :)
He's been eyeing A frame Oakleys for months. I'm so glad he liked them :)

We got in the car and were on our way. I asked Tyler where my ipod cord was and he told me to look in the middle compartment. I opened it and to my surprise I found this

I was so surprised. Love me some Taylor Swift :)

We stopped to get some gas and I decided to open my new cd. When I finally got it open, I opened the glove compartment to put the case away and I found my second surprise

I've been wanting this baby for a while now :) There are so many amazing creations in here. I will post pictures of them as I make them. I'm so excited!

After drooling over these stores which I will hopefully someday be able to afford..

We hit up my very favorite store for the rest of my present :)

It was a very successful trip :) and I was one happy girl. I know, I'm materialistic. I'm working on that.

We hit up Applebees before we headed up to Park City for the night

The rest of the weekend was spent exploring Park City and just relaxing.

Happy Anniversary babe :)

November 11..

A year ago I married my best friend in the Bountiful temple.

It has been so fun reflecting back on this time in my life and all the fun memories that come with it.

I will never forget all the emotions and feelings from this day.
Coming out of the temple and seeing the look on every one's face, knowing that we were finally married was my favorite part of the day.
It's amazing all the work that goes into a wedding and all the worry and stress and when the day finally comes, none of the small details matter.
All that matters is the feelings and special things that happened between me and this cute boy.
Being married isn't something you can really describe in one word.
I think you have to experience it to understand what it's all about.
There are a couple of things I've learned in the last year.
Be happy. Smile. Laugh as often as possible. Make everything a positive situation.
Love everything. Love those around you. Love what happens in your life.
You can't be happy with your spouse until you are fully happy with yourself.
Put the Lord first. Ask for his help thru all your trials.

To me, the most important thing is to let the little things go.
Life is too short to worry about things that aren't worth it.
You never know when it's going to be your last day. I can't imagine being upset with Tyler over something silly and then having something happen to him. I wouldn't be able to live with myself.
It will probably take me the rest of my life to master all of these things.
Even thru all of the ups and downs, it has been the happiest year of my life.
I know it sounds cheesy, but I honestly can't imagine my life without Tyler in it.
He might not be perfect, but he's perfect for me.
It really is incredible how your love can grow so much every single day.
Here's to eternity :)

One Year Ago Today....

This cute boy was on his way home from Russia for the first time in 2 years. I had no idea what time his plane was coming in. I randomly (thanks Jeni) had the day off so I planned to go to the pool. As I was leaving my phone started ringing and it was Tyler's sister Heather. She told me Tyler's plane was coming in around 9 that night and that I could meet them all at the airport if I wanted. After I went to the pool I went home and got ready. It only took me about 3 hours haha it was worse than getting ready for prom. I was SO nervous! Bridget drove me to the airport and we were freaking out because we were getting off the exit as Tyler's plane was supposed to be landing. She dropped me off and I ran to the baggage claim. When I got there I didn't see any of his family. When I finally found all of his family, I was coughing so bad from running. I had been so sick after my vacation to New Jersey the week before. I didn't even have a voice. My eyes wouldn't stop watering. I was a mess. Finally after waiting about 30 minutes (which felt like a lifetime) this handsome boy walked around the corner and made his way down the escalator. My heart stopped. I remember thinking that he was even more handsome then I remembered. It was so amazing to finally have him in front of me instead of having a letter or an email. He hugged all his family, then finally made his way over to me. We had "the handshake" and after both going red, we sat and talked. This was SUCH a happy moment for me. I tried not to stare at him but I couldn't help it. I knew right as he was coming down the escalator that I was going to marry him.

I can't believe he has already been home a year! Time goes by so fast! Last summer was such an amazing time! I am so lucky he fell in love with me and things went so well for us!

To celebrate him being home a year, we went to the secondhand serenade concert! It was at Thanksgiving Point and we met a few of his mission buddies down there! As we were walking in I saw this huge building I liked and went to take a picture of it and this is how it turned out. I kind of like it!

This is the field where the concert is. It is SO big. We were just hanging out during the first 2 bands trying to pass the time.

My hot husband. He didn't know I was taking this he he :)
We finally found Tyler's mission buddies. They were doing all kinds of hilarious things to keep us entertained. I was laughing so hard. These boys are awesome!

Such a fun night! I love being with my husband! Happy one year of being home!!
