I was waiting to get into my Zumba class a few weeks ago when the girls behind me started commenting on the sunset.
The one girl was saying how she wished she had her camera with her because the sunset was so amazing. The older lady standing next to her asked her if she did photography for a living. The girl just kind of chuckled and said oh no... I just do it for fun. I actually don't do anything for a living.. I think its overrated..
I wanted to turn around and ask her to be my best friend. I thought that was the COOLEST thing ever. Don't get me wrong.. I think it would be boring to sit around and be a bum all day. And that isn't what she does.. she said she has random hobbies that she makes money from.
I have been thinking about this a ton since she said that. Why is it that we spend x amount of hours every week at a job that we don't love?
Ever since I heard her say this, I've been thinking a lot about focusing more on things that really matter. Jobs and working are important of course, but I've been trying to not freak out and stress about them so much. I think thats how life should be :)
I liked this post a lot :)
